Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden is the third child of five siblings who were born at La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield was her mother. She was a housewife during the time that Thad Harold Harden served working in the Army. They moved a lot- she first became interested in the theatre when the family moved to Greece and had been to plays in Athens. Harden attended American universities across Europe but returned to the US in 1983 to finish her studies at the University of Texas. She obtained an MFA at NYU and started her acting career. She had already starred in an upcoming film, The Imagemaker, but her first big role came in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers funny, humorous tribute to gangster films. Harden got a positive review for her dramatic performance of Verna the seductive, trouble-making female. Harden continued to work in support parts. Harden was the lead character in Ava Gardner, a TV biopic based on Frank Sinatra.
